HOMEWOOD ENERGY SERVICES NOW OFFERING LOW AND MEDIUM VOLTAGE REPLACEMENT MOTORS TO NUCLEAR POWER INDUSTRY

Pittsburgh, PA, May 10, 2007 -- Homewood Energy Services (HES), an original equipment manufacturer and supplier of new equipment and parts for vintage (pre-1986) Westinghouse Electric Corporation equipment, is now offering nuclear qualified low and medium voltage motors to the nuclear power generation industry. “These motors represent a major cost savings to end users,” said Jim Kirk, vice-president of operations. “HES’ like-for-like motors are built according to pre-existing Westinghouse equipment design specifications. Therefore, our customers can bypass the lengthy and costly process of performing design changes for a different motor design and have Homewood supply an identical motor design that has been successfully used in the plant for over 35 years,” he said. “It’s another way that Homewood Energy Services is able to keep its customers competitive in today’s highly regulated industry.”

Homewood Energy Services (HES) is an original equipment manufacturer that supplies new parts and products for vintage (pre-1986) Westinghouse Electric Corporation equipment worldwide.  Homewood Energy Services is a division of Homewood Products Corporation (HPC), which operated as the former Westinghouse Electro-Mechanical Parts and Products Center, and became independent in 1995.  The companies are based in Pittsburgh, PA.
